After July 2011, the Virtual Training Suite will receive no further funding, and as such we have made the difficult decision to end the service.
Why have you made the decision to close the service?
Since the removal of central funding for Intute in July 2010, we have investigated alternative funding models for the Virtual Training Suite, including alternative grant funding, subscription and advertising/sponsorship, and we have spoken to librarians, academics and students to find out what they think. Unfortunately, we have been unable to find a model that will sustain the Virtual Training Suite in its current form into the future.

What will happen to the Virtual Training Suite website after July 2011?
The Virtual Training Suite website and tutorials will remain freely available, but will not be maintained or updated.
The tutorials will be made available for download as standalone units, and also made available via the JORUM repository. More information about this will be available shortly.
The tutorials will be made available under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 2.0 UK: England & Wales licence, which makes the content available free at the point of use to the UK teaching, learning, and research communities.
Please note that the Links Basket feature of the tutorials will not be available in the downloadable tutorials.
